Rukmani Devi Beni Prasad Jaipuria Hospital

Rukmani Devi Beni Parsad Hospital, a general hospital, has been constructed on an ideally situated 7 Acres plot of land on prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Jaipur. The Hospital was commissioned in 1991 with a total constructed area of 70,000 sq.ft. Due to increase demand from patients, another 45,000 sq.ft. area has now been added to the existing building consisting of the following facilities :-

A new OT Block consisting of 5 large Operation Theaters for different specialties with supporting facilities like 10 bedded Recovery room, Anesthetist room, Surgeons room, Autoclaving room, Change rooms for doctors and staff have been constructed on the first floor. A separate I.C.U Block of 10 beds has also been constructed on the same floor.

The existing O.P.D. Block had only 9 chambers for doctors. Since the number of specialities and the number of doctors has gone up, a new O.P.D block has been constructed consisting of 32 consultation and treatment chambers for doctors and two seperatr rooms have beeb built for BPL patients. O.P.D. has a separate entrance and is also connected to the main Haospital and Emergency.

The existing O.T. Block consisting of 3 Operation Theaters on the ground floors has been converted into a complete unit of Gynaecology, which will consist of clean labour room, Septic labour room, Antenatal & Postnatal wards having capacity of 16 beds. Provision is also being made for Neonatal care unit.

A new Radiology block has been built which has two X-Ray rooms, Sonography rooms and provision for CT scan and colour Doppler.

A T.B. Clinic with separate entry has also been added to the hospital.

There are four labs in the hospital (i) General Hospital Lab (ii) Integrated Diseases Surveillance Pragramme Lab ( Which is the only State level Lab in Rajasthan) (iii) Iodine Lab and (iv) ICTC Lab for diagnosis of Aids.

There is a separate Emergency Block consisting of 8 cottage wards. Emergency O.T., Plaster room, X-Ray room and E.C.G. room. It is a complete unit in itself. Emergency has a separate entry from the main road to facilitate speedy direct access.

The Hospital had-a capacity of 100 beds including 8 cottage wards. 24 new cottage wards have now been built on the first floor and general wards with 80 more beds have been constructed on the upper floors so that they can receive ample natural light and ventilation.

The planning of the hospital is such that future expansion up to 500 beds possible without disturbing the functioning of the hospital. Similarly, other supporting facilities the patient and stretcher movement at various levels.

There is ample provision of courtyards and green spaces to admit natural light ventilation.

The total staff already working in the hospital in 145 including Doctors, Nurses, Paramedical and of Office staff.

The Hospital is being run by the Government of Rajasthan with the help and advice of the Trustees of Rukmani Devi Jaipuria Charitable Trust
